Description: The Rocky
Mountain Horse model is part of the Breyer Traditional
collection (1:9 scale). He was sculpted using the El Pastor mold created by
Chris Hess in 1974 for a bay Peruvian Paso Fino of the same
name.
The Rocky Mountain Horse is an American breed
that traces its roots back to the foothills of the
Appalachian Mountains in Kentucky, and today is a favorite
with trail
and endurance enthusiasts. Their unique four beat
gait, which can be either a single foot or a rack, makes
them a pleasure to ride because the rider will feel very
little sway! The breed’s characteristic coloration is a deep
chocolate body with a flaxen mane and tail.
