Description: The Dun
Quarter Horse foal and Chestnut Appaloosa foal is part of Breyer's junior
Classics Colorful Foals collection. The Chestnut Appaloosa
Foal was created using the American Quarter Horse Foal (aka
"Frolicking Foal") mold sculpted by Kathleen Moody by 2005.
The Dun Quarter Horse foal was created using the Trotting
Stock Horse Foal sculpted by Kathleen Moody in 2008. Geared to authentic and
imaginative play, Breyer Classics offer younger collectors
excellent collectability too! A foal is a horse that is one
year old or younger. When the foal is nursing from his dam
(mother), it may also be called a suckling. Once the horse
is one year old, it is no longer a foal and is referred to
as a yearling. These colorful foals can be distinguished
from the adult horses by their extremely long legs and
small, slim bodies.
