Description: The
Palomino Appendix Quarter Horse model is part of Breyer's
junior Classics collection. This
model horse was created using the Warmblood Mare mold
sculpted by Sommer Prosser in 2007. Geared to authentic and
imaginative play, Breyer Classics offer younger collectors
excellent collectability too! An Appendix Quarter Horse is a
first generation cross between a registered Thoroughbred and
an American Quarter Horse or a cross between a "numbered"
American Quarter Horse and an "appendix" American Quarter
Horse. They are best-known today as a show horse, race
horse, reining and cutting horse, rodeo competitor, ranch
horse and all-around family horse. Some of the breed's
common nicknames include "America's Horse" and "World's
Fastest Athlete." Their distinguishing features include
great sprinting speed over a quarter mile, short and refined
head, strong and well-muscled body, a broad chest and
powerful, rounded hindquarters.
